Ortal Oval 120 Wall Mounted Gas Fireplace

A gas fire that hangs on the wall like art. Quick Facts • Fuel: Natural gas or propane. • Controls: Handheld remote with thermostat, scheduling, and eco settings; smartphone app available. • Media: Your choice of five included log sets, from classic to driftwood. Who It’s For Most gas fireplaces are built to disappear—framed into the wall, trimmed out, one more finish detail in the room. If the fire is the reason you’re doing this, blending in feels like a waste. You need a fireplace that is the design, not something the design hides. If you’re after a modern room where the fire is the centerpiece —elevated, sculptural, shaped like nothing else on the block—the Ortal Oval 120 Wall Mounted is the one. Choose a standard built-in instead and you’ll get the warmth without the second look. What Makes It Special The Oval 120 does the one thing a built-in can’t: it puts the fire up on the wall , framed in a sculptural oval instead of drywall and tile. The flame reads from across the room the way a painting does— except it moves . The remote handles the day-to-day thinking. Set the temperature you want and the flame height adjusts on its own to hold the room there. Program it to be burning before you’re home in the evening, or use eco mode to roll the flame between high and low so the fire keeps moving while the room holds steady. There’s a smartphone app if you’d rather run it from the couch. Possible Downsides • Log and branch media only —there are no glass or stone interior options for this model. • The glass is dealer-service only. You can wipe the exterior, but anything behind the glass is a call to us. • The first 12 hours of burning cure the paint. Expect some odor and a white haze on the glass, which your dealer cleans off afterward. If you want the fire to be the first thing people notice when they walk in, the Oval 120 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the one everyone ends up in. The Oval 120 comes with your choice of five included log sets—Standard, Weathered Driftwood, Refractory Clay, and the short or long English log—and can be dressed up further with Bonfire, Campfire, or Aspen log sets and charred branch accents.
