Stone veneer without the mason
A Stone Fireplace Wall Without the Mortar
Traditional stone veneer is a masonry project, with lath, a scratch coat, mortar, and cure time. Evolve Stone fastens to the wall with a finish nailer and finish nails, so the wall around your fireplace becomes finish work instead of masonry.
The color runs all the way through, so cut edges and corners still look like stone. It is lightweight, it can be cut to fit on site, and it is made for interior and exterior walls.
Because every wall is different, we measure it and quote it in person. The same crew that installs your fireplace finishes the stone around it, and we follow the fireplace manufacturer's clearances on every job.

Common Questions About Evolve Stone
Tap any question to read the answer.
See all questions & answersIs Evolve Stone real stone?
No. It is a manufactured stone veneer made from a lightweight material with the color all the way through. It has the texture of natural stone at a fraction of the weight, which is why it can go up with a finish nailer.
Can Evolve Stone go around a fireplace?
Yes. Evolve Stone makes a Class B fire-rated version for walls around fireplaces and stoves. It is still a combustible material, so we follow each fireplace manufacturer's clearances and your local fire code.
What styles and colors does Evolve Stone come in?
There are five styles: Georgetown Run, National True, Capital Sky, District View, and Monument Gate. Most styles come in six colors: Dune Point, Kodiak Mine, Morning Aspen, Phantom Shadow, Afternoon Vale, and River Clay. National True also comes in Winter Valley, and Monument Gate comes only in Winter Valley.
Can Evolve Stone go outside?
Yes. It is made for interior and exterior walls, and Evolve Stone reports no effects from freeze and thaw cycles or salt spray.
How do you get a price?
Pick a style and a color, and tap Schedule Consultation. We measure the wall and quote the stone, the corners, and the sills together, because every wall is different.
Who installs the stone?
Our own crew does. The same installers who set your fireplace finish the wall around it, so you have one team and one schedule.
