What Makes It Special Ortal’s Passive Cool Wall Technology keeps the surface above the fire cool enough to hang a TV or artwork directly above it . The fireplace doesn’t decide the layout of the room— you do. There’s no frame. The design lets your finishing materials run right to the edge of the glass , so the fire reads as part of the architecture instead of something added to it. The glass stands nearly two feet tall, and the built-in interior lighting means the logs glow even when there’s no fire. It’s a zero-clearance unit that builds into a framed wall, so plan on tile or stone finish work as part of the job. The remote carries a real thermostat: set 70 and the fireplace holds the room there on its own , cycling the flame as needed.
