American Fyre Designs Mariposa Gas Fireplace

A mason-built look for the patio—without hiring the mason. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Designed for ambiance, not as a heat source. • Fuel: Natural gas or propane. • Controls: Match-lit, manual, or handheld remote, depending on burner choice. • Fan: None Who It’s For The patio is where you want the evening to happen, but once the sun drops, everyone drifts back inside. You need a real fireplace outdoors, not just a flame in a bowl. If you picture an arched, masonry-style hearth anchoring the patio —the kind that makes an open slab feel like a room—this is the one. A fire table gives you a gathering spot; the Mariposa gives you an outdoor room. What Makes It Special The Mariposa is handcrafted from glass fiber reinforced concrete—durable concrete blended with alkali-resistant glass fiber and acrylic polymer to stand up to sun, rain, and freezing weather. It has the presence of a mason-built fireplace, but it arrives as modular components that assemble easily , so there’s no masonry crew and no construction season. Inside, a herringbone firebox liner gives the fire the backdrop of a built-in hearth. It’s also built to match the house you already have. Seven finishes run from White Aspen to Dark Basalt, and if you’d rather it wear your own stone or tile, the recess option leaves the hearth and body ready for your own veneer (those recessed surfaces arrive unfinished on purpose). Order it vent-free and it can be placed in a lanai or other covered outdoor area. Possible Downsides • It’s an open fireplace —built for ambiance and the warmth of sitting close, not rated as a heater. • The arched scroll screen, protector plate, and chimney rain vent cap are optional accessories , not included. • No app or Bluetooth control option ; burner choices run from match-lit to handheld remote. If you want the patio anchored by a real hearth instead of a flame in a bowl, the Mariposa is the right decision. The evening stops ending at sunset—the patio becomes the room everyone ends up in. The Mariposa comes in seven finishes—White Aspen, Café Blanco, Black Lava, Smoke, Travertine, Dark Basalt, and Light Basalt—in vented or vent-free versions, with Charred Oak or Charred Frontier Oak log sets or a contemporary glass-media burner, a radiused or extended bullnose hearth, and recess options for adding your own veneer.
