More Product Info

An outdoor fireplace built to wear your stone, not a factory finish. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Designed for ambiance, not as a heat source. • Fuel: Natural gas or propane, depending on the log set and burner you choose. • Controls: Match-lit, manual, or remote, depending on the burner. • Fan: None Who It’s For You’ve picked the stone for the house, the pavers for the patio, the whole look of the outdoor room—and every pre-finished fireplace comes in someone else’s palette. You need a fireplace built to wear the finish you choose . If you want the fireplace to match the house exactly—or you’re the contractor making that happen—this is the blank slate made for it. Pick a pre-finished model and it will look good; pick this one and it looks like it was always part of the house . That’s the American Fyre Designs Contractor’s Model. What Makes It Special The Contractor’s Model ships in plain White Concrete on purpose. It’s a base, engineered to be clad in your own stone, tile, or veneer , so the finished fireplace matches the materials you already chose instead of a factory color. It arrives as modular components your installer assembles on site—the look of a full custom masonry fireplace without building one from the footing up. The material is made for the weather. Glass fiber reinforced concrete blends alkali-resistant glass fiber and acrylic polymer into concrete built to withstand the outdoor elements , and the firebox comes lined in a traditional herringbone pattern, so the part you don’t clad still looks finished. Possible Downsides • White Concrete is the only finish —it’s meant to be covered; for a fireplace that’s finished out of the crate, look at the Phoenix or Mariposa. • Gas logs and burner are selected separately , so the fire itself is a second decision, not part of the box. • The veneer is your project —stone, tile, and the labor to install them aren’t included. If you want an outdoor fireplace that matches your house instead of a catalog finish, the Contractor’s Model is the right decision. The patio stops being a place you pass through and becomes the room everyone ends up in. The Contractor’s Model comes with or without crown moulding and in vented or vent-free versions—the vent-free version can sit in a lanai or other covered outdoor area—and takes a range of vented and vent-free gas log sets.
