American Fyre Designs Contempo Round Gas Fire Pit

The fire that keeps the patio full after the sun goes down. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Designed for ambiance and open-air warmth, not as a rated heat source. • Viewing Area: Open on all sides—every seat faces the fire. • Fuel: Natural gas or propane. • Controls: Push-button igniter with adjustable flame height; smartphone control optional (needs household power). • Fan: None Who It’s For The evening is going fine until the chill shows up, and one by one the chairs empty as everyone drifts inside. You need a fire at the center of the seating, low enough to set a drink beside and talk across. If your patio furniture is arranged for conversation and you want a reason to stay in it after dark, that’s the Contempo Round firetable: an open fire at coffee-table height , in the middle of a round concrete top. Skip it and the patio keeps its nine-o’clock curfew; add it and the fire holds the group in place. What Makes It Special Most fire features make you choose between a fire and a table. This one is both: a round top at chat height with a star-pattern stainless steel burner in the center , so the flame spreads evenly through the media and the rim around it works like the coffee table it replaces. The body is handcrafted from glass fiber reinforced concrete—concrete blended with alkali-resistant glass fiber and acrylic polymer, cast to live outdoors year-round . It has the look and heft of poured concrete in a piece that’s built to take sun and rain. The standard control is a battery-powered push-button igniter with a flame-sensing valve: if the flame ever goes out, the gas shuts off on its own . Turn the flame down to a glow for a mild night or up for a cold one, and the optional FyreStarter upgrade adds smartphone on/off control plus two USB ports for charging at the table. Possible Downsides • No room inside for a propane tank ; on propane, the tank connects through a matching Contempo tank/end table or an extension hose. If you want the tank hidden inside the unit, look at the Cosmopolitan Round. • Smartphone control requires household power at the table; the standard igniter runs on a battery and needs none. • Fire media is sold separately —you choose the fire glass, gems, stones, or log set that fills the burner. If you want the patio to stay full after sundown, the Contempo Round is the right decision. It becomes the table everyone pulls a chair toward. The Contempo Round comes in seven hand-applied concrete finishes—White Aspen, Café Blanco, Black Lava, Smoke, Travertine, Dark Basalt, and Light Basalt—with your choice of fire glass, reflective glass, gems, creekstones, spheres, or log media, plus an optional round glass wind guard and vinyl or matching concrete covers.
