Choose a standard open bowl instead and the burner sits exposed to wind and rain whenever it’s not lit. What Makes It Special The bowl includes a flush-fitting concrete cover made from the same material as the bowl itself. Drop it in place and the fire bowl reads as a solid low table—somewhere to set a board game or a round of drinks—while the burner underneath stays protected from the weather. Lift it off, turn the flame up or down to match the evening, and the table is a fire again. The whole piece is handcrafted from glass fiber reinforced concrete —concrete blended with alkali-resistant glass fiber and acrylic polymer, made to live outdoors year-round. The valve senses the flame and shuts the gas off on its own if the fire ever goes out. Add the optional FyreStarter system and you can light it, adjust it, and shut it down from your phone, with two USB ports built in for charging on the patio. Possible Downsides • No room for a propane tank inside the bowl. On propane, the tank sits outside the unit; a matching concrete tank table is available to hide it, or the 48″ Chat Fire Bowl has a built-in tank drawer. • Fire media is sold separately. Glass, stones, or logs for the bowl are chosen and priced as add-ons. • Smartphone control is optional, not included, and it requires 120V power run to the unit.
