Choose a boxy fire table instead and you get another piece of furniture; choose this and the fire itself is the feature. What Makes It Special The shape is the point. The Marseille is a wide, shallow bowl handcrafted from glass fiber reinforced concrete—concrete blended with glass fiber and acrylic polymer so it stands up to the weather season after season. The low profile keeps sight lines open across the whole patio, and the extra-wide mouth holds more and varied fire media than a standard bowl, so the flame rises out of a bed of glass, stones, or logs that you designed. Order it with the optional water spout and it becomes a fire-and-water feature at the edge of a pool—running water below, flame dancing above (plumbing is supplied locally). Or add the optional smartphone control and turn it on, adjust the flame, and shut it down from your phone, with two USB ports for charging on the side; that version connects to standard household power.
