American Fyre Designs Contempo Rectangle Gas Fire Pit

The coffee table that keeps everyone outside after dark. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Designed for outdoor ambiance and around-the-table warmth, not a rated heating area. • Viewing Area: 24″ linear flame, open on all sides. • Fuel: Natural gas or propane. • Controls: Push-button igniter with adjustable flame height; the gas shuts off automatically if the flame goes out. Optional phone-app control with two USB charging ports (needs household power). • Fan: None Who It’s For The patio empties the moment the evening cools—the conversation was good, but nobody wants to sit in the chill. You need the fire at the center of the seating, not off to one side. If your outdoor space leans modern—low sofas, clean lines—and you want the flame at coffee-table height , right where the drinks and elbows already are, the Contempo Rectangle Firetable is the one. A standalone heater warms the air next to you; this puts the fire where everyone is already looking. What Makes It Special The whole table is handcrafted from glass fiber reinforced concrete—alkali-resistant glass fiber and acrylic polymer blended into the concrete itself—so it has the weight and look of cast stone and is built to live outside year-round . It reads as furniture, not equipment. A two-foot ribbon of flame runs down a stainless steel burner at the center of the table, and the height adjusts: down to a glow for dinner, up when the night turns cold . The optional FyreStarter upgrade adds phone-app control and two USB ports for charging phones or running outdoor speakers right at the table. Possible Downsides • It cannot house a propane tank inside the unit —propane setups need a separate tank arrangement. • The phone-app control is an upgrade, not standard, and it requires household power at the table. • Fire media is sold separately —glass, gems, stones, spheres, or a log set is chosen as an add-on. If you want the fire to be the table your patio gathers around, the Contempo Rectangle is the right decision. The evening doesn’t end when the sun goes down—it just moves closer to the flame. The Contempo Rectangle comes in seven hand-applied GFRC finishes—White Aspen, Café Blanco, Black Lava, Smoke, Travertine, Dark Basalt, and Light Basalt—with fire media ranging from Fyre Glass, Reflective Fyre Glass, Fyre Gems, Diamond Nuggets, and Fyre Spheres to creekstones, lava media, and outdoor log sets, plus a fitted vinyl or GFRC cover.
