American Fyre Designs Calais Oval Firetable Gas Fire Pit

A firetable that looks like sculpture and works like a gathering place. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Open outdoor flame—built to warm the people around it, not a measured area. • Viewing Area: 24″ of linear flame, visible from every seat around the oval. • Fuel: Natural gas or propane. • Controls: Match-free push-button lighting with adjustable flame height; smartphone control with two USB charging ports optional. • Fan: None Who It’s For An outdoor evening usually ends when the chill wins, and seating drifts apart when there’s nothing to gather around. You need a fire at the center of the conversation —low enough to talk over, warm enough to keep everyone in their chairs. If you want the piece on your patio to read as sculpture rather than a box with a burner, the Calais Oval Firetable is the one. A standard square table will keep you just as warm; this one is the table people notice before the fire is even lit. What Makes It Special The whole unit is a single sculpted oval of handcrafted concrete —glass fiber reinforced concrete, which blends alkali-resistant glass fiber into durable concrete so it stands up to sun, rain, and winter outdoors. At chat height, it works the way a coffee table does: drinks go on the rim, conversation goes over the top, and it holds its own on the patio even when the fire is off . Down the center, a stainless steel burner stretches a 24″ ribbon of flame along the length of the bowl, and the flame height adjusts—down to a glow for a mild night, up when the evening turns cold. Add the optional smartphone control and you can light and adjust the fire from your phone, with two USB ports at the table for charging phones or an outdoor speaker. Possible Downsides • A propane tank cannot be housed inside the unit; propane setups pair with the matching tank/end table or a 10 ft extension hose. • The optional smartphone control requires 120V power at the table’s location. • No glass wind guard is offered for the oval shape; if a wind guard matters on your site, look at the rectangular and round firetables in the line. If you want the fire on your patio to look as good unlit as it does burning, the Calais Oval is the right decision. The chairs stop drifting apart, and the evenings run long. The Calais Oval comes in seven finishes—White Aspen, Café Blanco, Smoke, Black Lava, Travertine, Light Basalt, and Dark Basalt—and the bowl takes your choice of Fyre Glass, reflective glass, Fyre Gems, Diamond Nuggets, river stones, creekstones, lava media, spheres, or a gas log set, with a fitted vinyl cover available.
