American Fyre Designs 48" Marseille Fire Bowl Gas Fire Pit

A four-foot fire low enough for everyone to gather around. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Designed for open-air ambiance, not as a rated heat source. • Viewing Area: Open on all sides—the fire is visible from every seat. • Fuel: Natural gas or propane. • Controls: Push-button spark lighting with adjustable flame height; the gas shuts off on its own if the flame goes out. Smartphone control optional. • Construction: Handcrafted glass fiber reinforced concrete, made to live outdoors year-round. Who It’s For An outdoor fire is supposed to hold the whole group, but most fire pits put a small ring of flame on top of a tall body, and the chairs end up closer to the concrete than the fire. You need a fire that’s wide, low, and open on every side . If you’re building the spot where evenings end—a pool deck, a wide patio, the seating area everyone drifts toward—the 48″ Marseille Fire Bowl is the one. Pick a smaller bowl and the fire is something you look at; pick this one and it’s something the whole group sits around. What Makes It Special The Marseille is the low-profile bowl in the American Fyre Designs line, and this is the largest of its four sizes: four feet across and under a foot tall . The shallow shape and wide opening hold more media than a standard bowl, so the bed of the fire—reflective glass, river stones, lava, a log set—becomes part of the look instead of a hidden burner. It’s also one of three Marseille sizes offered with an optional water spout , so running water and open flame share the same bowl—built for pool and spa surrounds, with the plumbing supplied and connected on site. Prefer to run it from your chair? The optional FyreStarter system adds smartphone on/off and high/low control , plus two USB ports for charging by the fire. It needs household power run to the bowl; the standard igniter runs on a battery. Possible Downsides • No room inside for a propane tank —on propane it runs from a remote tank, with matching tank/end tables and a 10 ft extension hose available. • The water spout version needs plumbing supplied and connected on site. • Smartphone control requires household power at the bowl; the standard igniter does not. If you want the fire to be the reason people stay outside after dark, the 48″ Marseille Fire Bowl is the right decision. The patio stops being where the party spills over and becomes where it happens. It comes in seven concrete finishes—White Aspen, Café Blanco, Black Lava, Smoke, Travertine, Dark Basalt, and Light Basalt—runs on natural gas or propane, and takes media from Fyre Glass, Fyre Gems, and Diamond Nuggets to creekstones, river rock, lava, and outdoor log sets, with a fitted vinyl cover available.
