A small traditional fire that lets you finish the wall any way you want. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: Approx. 550–1,050 sq ft • Efficiency: 71% (steady state) • Viewing Area: 600 sq in • Fuel: Natural gas; propane conversion kit available. • Controls: Handheld remote with thermostat, included on the upgraded version and optional on the basic one; wall thermostat optional. • Fan: Optional Who It’s For A small living room or den usually gets a small, plain fireplace, and the wall above it stays bare because it gets too hot for anything you care about. You need a compact gas fire that still lets you finish the wall like the rest of the room. If you want a classic log or crystal fire in a smaller space, with tile, stone, or artwork running right to the edge, the Grandview G600 is the one. Pick a standard small fireplace instead and you live with a blank, warm band of drywall above it. What Makes It Special Regency’s patented Cool Wall system uses natural air movement to keep the wall surface above the fireplace cool, so you can run any finishing material right to the edge of the glass and hang a TV or a painting above it without a mantel to shield it. You also choose how the fire looks: a log grate with embers for a traditional picture, or a crystal tray for a cleaner, modern one, over painted steel, brick, or black reflective panels. The basic version keeps a small pilot flame lit year-round; the upgraded version lights only when you turn it on, so no gas flows between fires. Possible Downsides • The basic version burns a small pilot flame around the clock ; choose the upgraded version if you want no gas flowing between fires. • The fan is optional, not included , so heat stays close to the fireplace until you add one. • This is the smallest fire in the Grandview family ; for a bigger flame picture, look at the Grandview G800 or G1200. If you want a small traditional gas fire without giving up the wall above it, the Grandview G600 is the right decision. The little room off the kitchen becomes the one people settle into after dinner. The G600 takes a log grate or a crystal tray, painted black steel, brick, or black reflective interior panels, volcanic stones, faceplates in black, brushed nickel, or antique copper, a clean-front trim, and an outdoor installation kit.
