A partially frosted acrylic panel sits between the logs and the herringbone brick backer, so the flames appear to rise from within the logs —and you see the full depth of the firebox through them, not your lamp reflected in the glass . The remote adjusts the light color and intensity, so the fire can glow low and warm for a movie or run bright and full for company.
