Pick a heating fireplace instead and the focal point of your room takes the summer off. What Makes It Special The flames aren’t a video screen and they aren’t lights behind plastic logs. Optimyst builds them out of fine water vapor and light —a patented effect Dimplex calls the most realistic 3D electric flame in the world—so the fire has real depth, rises off a charred log set, and looks right from both open sides of the corner. It’s plumbed, not filled. A direct connection to your water line means the fire runs continuously— no reservoir to remember —and an overflow sensor shuts the water off automatically to prevent leaks.
