More Product Info

An electric fire realistic enough to fool people—flames in July, heat off. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–400 sq ft • Viewing Area: 44″ wide fire • Fuel: Electric—the flame runs on water and light. • Controls: Remote, hidden touch panel, or the Flame Connect phone app. • Fan: Included (fan-forced heater with Eco and Boost modes). Who It’s For Most electric fireplaces look convincing until someone walks up close, and the flame turns out to be light behind glass running a loop. You need a flame with real depth—something moving in the air , not on a screen. If you want a wide linear fire without a gas line, one you can run year-round with the heat off , the Optimyst 46 is the one. A standard electric flame does the job from across the room; this one holds up from two feet away. What Makes It Special The flame is a fine mist of water lit by LED light —Dimplex’s patented 3D effect. Because the flames actually rise through the air, no two flame shapes are ever the same, and even the smoke is real: it’s water vapor curling off the ember bed . Connect it to a water line with the optional plumb kit and the fire runs continuously —no tank to remember. An overflow sensor shuts the water off automatically to prevent leaks, and a self-diagnosing module makes any service visit simple, backed by a two-year warranty. The heat is there when you want it and gone when you don’t. The fan-forced heater covers up to 1,000 square feet on demand, and the surfaces stay cool to the touch, so the fire can run through a summer evening the same as a January night. Possible Downsides • Supplemental heat only —it warms the room it’s in, not the whole house. • Continuous water supply requires the optional plumb kit ; it’s sold separately. • The wall needs a fresh air inlet framed in during installation for the flame to perform properly—our team plans for it as part of the job. If you want a fire you can run 365 days a year that looks real from two feet away, the Optimyst 46 is the right decision. The wall it lives in becomes the room everyone ends up in. It comes with acrylic crystals and a driftwood ember bed, and you can restyle the fire with tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, additional crystal sizes, or faux log sets ranging from split logs to beach driftwood.
