Dimplex Ignite Ultra 50 Electric Fireplace

The linear fire that fits the wall you have—not the other way around. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 50″ wide fire • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Flame Connect app, wall-mountable remote, or onboard buttons. • Fan: Included Who It’s For The linear fireplace you’ve been picturing usually comes with demands: a gas line, a chimney run, and one specific wall that can host it. So the fire ends up where the house allows, not where the family sits. You need a fireplace that adapts to your room instead of dictating it. If you’re building or remodeling and want a modern wall of fire—flat on the wall, wrapped around a corner, or open on three sides—the Dimplex Ignite Ultra 50 is that fireplace. Pick a gas linear instead and the venting decides your floor plan; pick this one and you decide. What Makes It Special One unit installs four ways —front-facing, left-corner, right-corner, or bay—so the fire can sit flush on a wall or wrap a corner and be seen from two rooms at once. It frames into the wall like any built-in, so plan on finish work as part of the install. You can also change the fire itself. The Flex-Flame feature is a simple component swap between the Dynamic-Fire and Multi-Fire flame effects , and the Flame Connect app unlocks additional flame colors. The logs are in on it too: inner-glow logs pulse in rhythm with the flames , with a crackling-wood soundtrack if you want it. Turn the heat off and it’s a year-round fireplace —flames on a July evening without warming the room. When you do want heat, the fan-forced heater supplements up to 1,000 square feet while your furnace holds the baseline, and a built-in timer runs it for up to 8 hours. Possible Downsides • Supplemental heat, not a furnace —it warms the room it’s in, not the whole floor. • App features need Wi-Fi where the fireplace is installed. • Alternate log sets and ember bed upgrades are optional add-ons , not included in the box. If you want the linear look but the room has never cooperated, the Ignite Ultra 50 is the right decision. The wall you couldn’t figure out becomes the one everyone faces. The look is adjustable: swap the standard inner-glow logs for split-log, chunky driftwood, or thin split-log sets, dress the ember bed with tumbled glass, river rocks, black rocks, or acrylic crystals, and if 50 inches isn’t enough fire, the Ignite Ultra also comes in 60″, 74″, 88″, and 100″ widths.
