More Product Info

Over eight feet of flame, visible from every seat in the room. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 100″ wide—more than eight feet of flame. • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Flame Connect app, wall-mountable remote, or onboard controls; built-in timer up to 8 hours. • Fan: Included Who It’s For Most fireplaces are sized to sit in a wall. On a long wall—a great room, an open-plan main floor—a standard-width fire reads as a small bright rectangle in a big blank field. You need a fire scaled to the room , not one the room absorbs. If you’re planning a remodel or new build where the fireplace is the design statement, and you want the freedom to run it flat, wrap it around a corner, or open it on three sides, the Dimplex Ignite Ultra 100 is the one. Pick a standard-width unit for that wall and you’ll spend the project designing around the gap; pick this one and the fire is the wall . What Makes It Special This is four installation options in one fireplace : front-facing, left corner, right corner, or bay-style with the fire open on three sides. You decide the layout when it goes into the wall, so the same unit can face the sofa flat or become a glowing peninsula between two spaces. The fire itself is adjustable in a way most fireplaces aren’t. The Flex-Flame feature lets you swap the entire flame presentation —two distinct flame effects, changed with a single component. The logs connect in seconds, move where you place them, and glow from the inside, pulsing in rhythm with the flames while a crackling sound effect plays. The Flame Connect app opens up additional flame colors when you want a different mood. And because the heat is optional, this is a fireplace for all twelve months. Run the heater for supplemental warmth up to 1,000 square feet in the cold months, then turn it off and keep the flames going— a fire on a July evening with the air conditioning on . Possible Downsides • Supplemental heat for one area —it warms the room it’s in; it isn’t a whole-home heat source. • Fan-forced heat only —when the heater runs, the fan runs with it; there is no silent radiant mode. • Ember beds are optional accessories —tumbled glass, river rocks, and acrylic crystals are sold separately. If you want the fire to be the architecture of the room and not an accent in it, the Ignite Ultra 100 is the right decision. The long wall you were planning around becomes the reason everyone ends up in that room. Options include ember beds in tumbled glass, river rock, black rock, and acrylic crystal, plus faux wood log sets from split logs to chunky driftwood, so the fire can lean modern or woodsy to match the room around it.
