More Product Info

The look and sound of a wood fire, in a wall that was never built for one. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 42″ wide • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: App, wall-mountable remote, and onboard touch controls; timer up to 8 hours. • Fan: Included Who It’s For A wood fire asks a lot: a chimney, a woodpile, ash, and a room built to hold it. A gas fire asks for a line and a vent. You need a fire that brings the logs, the glow, and the crackle to a wall that can’t offer any of that. If you’re planning a remodel or new build and want a built-in fireplace that reads as the real thing—living room, bedroom, basement, or condo—the Ignite Quest 42 is the one. Pick a flame-only accent instead and you give up real, on-demand warmth on the cold evenings. What Makes It Special The Quest is a first-of-its-kind hybrid: a traditional firebox and a linear fireplace in one design . The deep, log-filled firebox reads classic under a mantel, and the wide, clean lines read modern in a tiled wall, so you don’t have to pick a camp to fit the room you already have. The fire itself is Dimplex’s Multi-Fire flame effect with adjustable styles and themes over a loose log set you can arrange yourself , a pulsating ember bed, and built-in crackling sound. It glows, shifts, and pops the way a wood fire does—without the ash, the smoke, or the woodpile. Warmth is there when you want it and gone when you don’t: run flames with or without heat, year-round , with the fan-forced heater adding on-demand warmth to the room. The glass stays cool to the touch, and the fireplace runs its own self-diagnostics so it can tell you when it needs attention. Possible Downsides • Supplemental Heat, Not a Furnace: It warms the room it’s in on demand; it isn’t designed to be your home’s primary heat. • Bay and corner installations need a Trim Kit, sold separately; front-facing installs don’t. • App control needs Wi-Fi where the unit is installed; the remote and onboard controls work without it. If you want the charm of a wood fire in a room that could never have one, the Ignite Quest 42 is the right decision. The room it’s in becomes the room the house lives in. The Quest 42 installs front-facing, bay-style, or left- or right-corner—the Left/Right Bay Trim Kit handles the open-sided looks—and the flame themes, flame styles, and log arrangement all adjust to suit the room.
